Simple 1, 2, 3 Summertime Salads

There is nothing like welcoming in summer with a fresh, sweet salad. The following recipes are refreshing, nourishing, and naturally sweet. Say NO to processed foods and refined sugars. Say YES to nature's candy and your new, best you. It all starts with small changes. 


1. Watermelon Madness

What You'll Need:

1/2 cup Feta or Bulgarian cheese

Fresh Mint



The 1, 2, & 3:

1. Cube the watermelon and cheese into similarly sized pieces (small but not too small; about bite-size)

2. Wash and chop mint into chunks 

3. Combine everything in one bowl and mix it all up! Enjoy. 


2. Avocado Citrus Party-Pleaser 

What You'll Need:

1 Avocado

1-2 oranges/tangerines

1/2 cup almonds

3 cups spring mix

1/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette 


The 1, 2, & 3:

1. Wash and dry spring mix

2. Peel oranges/tangerines and cut avocado into slices/cubes (your preference)

3. Combine all ingredients into one bowl and mix in dressing. Say hello to citrusy-sweetness! 


3. The Great Grape Mango Mix-Up

What You'll Need:

1/2 lb fresh purple grapes

1 mango

1/3 cup hard cheese of choice

3 cups spinach

1/4 cup sunflower seeds


The 1, 2, & 3:

1. Wash and remove grapes from vine; also wash spinach

2. Cut mango and cheese into similarly sized cubes

3. Combine all ingredients in large bowl and savor each bite!
