4 Ways To Be Kind To Yourself On Your Weight Loss Journey

Posted by on

We all know the importance of #SelfCare. But what about Self-Compassion?

You know what I'm talking about.

That moment when you wake up and just do.not. want to drink ASAP Teatox or you weigh yourself and see that the number didn't go down. That could be the end of the moment. But instead you sit there beating yourself up for being human.

Being hard on yourself doesn't help ANYTHING.

Here are 4 epic ways to be kind to yourself on this journey:

1. Appreciate where you've been, where you are, and where you're going.

Self hate won't get you anywhere as it can cause stress. (Check out our last post to see how harmful stress can be!)  Try and remind yourself that you're losing weight for yourself 'cause you're awesome. It'll make this journey all the more fun.

2. Practice #Mindfulness

Think of this as fitness for your brain. Research has officially shown what philosophers and some religions have been saying for...well forever. We experience our greatest amount of happiness and freedom when we're fully present. Being *mindful* will allow you to view yourself without the judgement glasses we all have and make it a much nicer journey for everyone involved.

3. Create an Awesome Morning Routine

Every day you have 24 new hours in front of you. How you start those off can make a huge impact on your day. So, start it off fit, focused, and excited for the day. Do a quick workout, drink your ASAP Teatox, and check in with yourself. Say some positive affirmations to remind yourself of how great you are and set out to conquer the world.

4. Learn to Eat Well

How you feel today, tomorrow, and for the entirety of your journey (and life) depends on what nutrients you put into your body. Eating whole, nutritious foods makes your body and mind happy. It takes your mental and physical fitness to whole new levels. Plus, we all know how exciting it is to feel like you're doing right by yourself.

Weight loss doesn't mean treating yourself terribly. It means loving yourself into the person you want to be.
